help! when should I test? ?

This is our first time ttc and it was kind of a spur of the moment decision. we were going to really start trying in august but I went ahead and came off my bcp's so that I could figure out when I was ovulation etc. I think I am about 7 dpo but I woke up yesterday morning with sore breasts and cold like symptoms (sore throat, stuffy nose, and a little higher than normal bbt) how long should I wait before I take a pregnancy test??? thanks!!
