Does reading these posts terrify anyone else?

Have only just started TTC (May '14) and have downloaded Glow to keep track of my ovulation, but I can't help but get distracted by all these awesome posts in the forum, but you know how sometimes lots of information is too much information?

Yes. I just read an article about how doctors are sharing too much with women about pregnancy and trying to conceive and it's causing stress due to worry. It is hard to relax especially about something that is so exciting

I think maybe its just because people don't log on to this forum and say "hi everyone I didn't have a miscarriage this month" or "I conceived in only 1 month" because really what's the point? It's more people that HAVE suffered a miscarriage etc that are likely to post, share their experience or seek advice/help. If that makes sense? Xx

Yes there's tons of info on here but of TTC has been difficult or you are impatient (or worst case, both, like me) then this app is a little godsend. I don't necessarily want to bombard my friends with all this info/ questions so glow gives me a like minded community. My daughter was conceived in one month, all we did was bd. Had never heard of bbt, opk etc. Have been trying for #2 for 18 months. 18 looonggg months. 2 mc in that time. Never thought I'd have one, let alone 2. So TTC has been far more consuming this time round. I naively thought I'd have a 6 month old by now. Having the support of other women here and hearing their stories and successes is very encouraging. Hopefully other women's journeys are quicker, easier and less heartbreaking than mine- either way, glow is here for them . GL everybody!

it's really hard not to obsess. try using the forum to ask and answer questions but must importantly, use it for support. I personally only use OPKs and the glow app.

YES... Me and my partner have been talking about when was the right time to TTC and I feel like over the summer early fall (anywhere from June to October) would work for with since I'm a full time student and he's a police officer. However it being my my first month TTC and reading all these post about A) how long it takes and B) how common miscarriage are --I feel overwhelmed! Oh my goodness  it's like when I do see the positive test I'll just stress about a miscarriage... Ugh!

Absolutely! Ever since glow I have been testing early as I never new you could test before your period, and have learnt about chemical pregnancies which are very common but a lot of woman don't know about it as they don't test early! Also I didn't realise how common miscarriages can be and it's very scary! Also I feel like for my age I should be pregnant by now which makes me feel like something is wrong with me or my partner!

Absolutely - am trying not to obsess but I'm a bit of a control freak by nature and can't help but read through and then worry haha..   But again really only at the very beginnings of trying so no need to, but I worry that maybe I will have to worry about all these awful things and that scares me most!

I agree! Even some of the tips after loging information terrify me..."you experienced xyz so you could be totally normal or you could be dying, but you are probably dying and barren". I started just logging my cycle and ovulation and now obsessively researching every symptom, every discharge. It's horrifying. I'm done. AF showed up a day early when I thought I was actually pregnant. Feeling like it's never going to happen for us.
