Really confused about how far I am

I had my last period on March 28th-30th, tested positive (faintly) on April 21st, then sadly started to bleed quite heavily on the 1st May. I went to the docs and he told me to test again in 2 weeks time, but I didn't. On June 2nd I tested positive again, this time there was no doubt I was pregnant. Very dark line. I've managed to secure a quick midwife appointment for Thursday, as no one seems to be able to tell me if my body has miscarried and therefore reset, or if something else has happened. My stomach is already looking like it did when I was 5 months along with my first child. Obviously I won't know for sure until I have a scan, but just wondered if anyone had dealt with anything like similar? Thanks!
