I'd like to get an IUD but bot sure please help!!

Hi everyone, I want to get on birth control soon because I don't plan on having kids anytime soon. I'd rather get my life together and have a good partner, life, home & work before hand because I know how difficult it can be to raise a child. Iv had to care for my brothers ever since I was 7 till now. So that leads too birth control I'm a tad forget full and I know I would either miss or forget to take the pill but I'm also not a fan of needless. I know that the IUD last for five years and I'm pretty much 18 now so that would be 23-24 when I would get it either removed/replaced or even switch to driftnet birth control I think it would be a reasonable thing to do seams how I would be older and more fit to determine if I was ready to have a child or to wait a few more years so please tell me what you think and if you have one how it works.
