So when your man asks you to marry him is the engagement ring supposed to be the biggest ring and then on your wedding day you add a band?
​Or how does that work?
​I've seen a lot of recently engaged friends with small rings? 
​Do you get a small ring now then on your wedding day a bigger ring and a band?

LOL rings are expensive! Mine is a half carat and it was $1,700. But I will love it forever bc my hubby picked it out himself! ?

The engagement ring is supposed to be the big diamond one. Then you both get wedding bands to exchange at ceremony. But hey to each her own.

The ring he proposes with is generally your ring and then a band is added when you get married. Unless he wants to buy another ring for wedding.

Usually the engagement ring is bigger then you get a band that accents it. Of course you can really do it however you like they are your rings lol
