Epidural vs no/minimal drugs

With my son I had two shots of morphine, used a warm shower, and laughing gas and I don't remember much of it. I don't even remember hearing him cry. Which did you have an what was your experience with it?

P.S I don't mean to upset anybody I just thought I may get more answers in here from anyone who's already had babies than just in the success page. Thanks in advance :)
