CM question

Ok, so this might be a stupid question but I really need help. It's been almost 2 years since I've seen AF (started depo in August of 2012 last AF was Oct 2012). Had my last shot at the end of June 2013. In the beginning of May I had a dark brown discharge. I remember some of the symptoms I would get, but I'm taking a supplement that is supposed to cut back PMS symptoms. I've been checking my CM, and today it was dry. Not like completely dry, but not creamy. It glistened on my finger and was gone after rubbing them together. Is CM dry like this before AF? I'm not trying to get my hopes up, but I think I remember reading somewhere that it dries before AF. Sorry for the extra long post! Thanks ladies ?
