Getting a tan while TTC

So today I went to the pool and got a pretty nice tan even though I'm already naturally dark... I did get a little red but I didn't burn. A good friend of mine I saw there completely freaked out on me by telling me I will cook my baby if I'm pregnant? I'm only 3dpo and I only thought that you should avoid tanning beds not the sun? I just wanted some insight from others. My husband and I are very outdoorsy so it will be hard to avoid it truthfully
