Clomid questions

I am meeting with my doctor in early July to get a pelvic ultrasound to confirm that pcos is what is really making me infertile and anovulatory. She's suggesting clomid for help conceiving, and I was wondering if anybody has experience with how long it took them to conceive while taking it? I know it's variable, but if anyone has any experience, I'd love to hear about it! Ideally I'd like to conceive around September ( I just got a new job so that is when my leave benefits kick in) but of course I would have no problem with a baby now! :) I'm just wondering should I go ahead and start taking clomid in July or should I wait closer to September?
