Time before engagement?

How long do you think people should be together before getting engaged?

my husband purposed 3months after us getting together... we felt why know everything about each other when we have a whole life time to do it... we got married to years later

Really cant put a time frame on this ;-) cuz everyone is different! My mom n dad knew in three weeks that they would marry(and married in 6 weeks)! And have been married for almost 30 years... My husband and i knew eachother for 6 mos and got engaged  and married 3 mos after engagment! 
​Ive known people to wait for years! But y wait to strt your lives together when you know?? I know this is just my opinion ;-) and others have different ones .... ?

My husband proposed 10 months after we met. We were married about 10 months after that... We have been married just over a year and together almost 3... I think it totally depends on you and your relationship. I never thought I'd have such a "quick" relationship but for me, when I knew, I knew. He is the most wonderful man I've ever know and I am so incredibly lucky to have him.

We were engaged just shy of the three year mark, and married at the 6 year mark. I think anything less than 2.5-3 years isn't long enough, but that's all personal opinion. It all depends where you are in life.

Well my husband and I were engaged about 2.5 years before we got married and about 2.5 more before we got engaged. 
​My parents were only together 9 months before getting married and they didn't know eachother very well. They were horrible for eachother. So I always aimed to be with someone longer than they were. That way I knew who I was going to be with better.

We are now 21, we have been together 6 years, got engaged 1 year ago and we got married 7 months ago. We did everything backwards, moved in together, had a kid, got engaged then married, we are very happy ?

my bf and I have been together for 5 years. we are not engaged but will be in the future. we decided we have all the time in the world for that and have put ttc before an engagement or marriage! everybody is different and this is what works for us!
