When to see the dr after your BFP

Question

So I got my BFP today (woohoo!!!!!) and just called the dr and they don't need to see me until the end of July! Guess I was expecting to go in right away for a blood test or something, but unless I've miscarried before they don't need to do one! So bizarre, made me kinda sad. I want an  OFFICIAL confirmation or something! Lol anyone that was surprised by this?!!

Very Suprised! I would think after taking a home pregnancy test, the next step would be to have your Dr confirm it. Strange!

You can make an appt as soon as you are positive. But they won't see you until you are 8-9 weeks. Stinks!

here in Portugal you can go to dr Just after the positive test and have an ultrasound and blood tests. try to have weekly blood tests to control the beta until Dr appointment! best of luck!

Thats totaly normal. About 8 weeks of pregnancy you have your first appt. Why?: because there is NOTHING they can do bevore! So it's waiting time again.... Happy and healthy 9 month for you!

I've had 4 kids and 6 pregnancies. That's totally normal.
