Is the depo shot effective?

I've been on the depo for probably 2 months. We don't use condoms. Last night I went to go pee and there was a little blood when I wiped. Could this be implantation or just from the shot?

When I did the depo shot I got very sick, I started losing my hair and felt very paranoid when I had sex.

I was on the depo shot for 2 years. Gained 30 pounds, it made me extremely moody and I had no sex drive whatsoever. So yea it's effective lol but I wouldn't recommend it.

No birth control is 100% But honestly as long as you get your shot religiously whenever you are do for it. You should be ok!! Wishing you all the best!
