Accutane & TTC years later
Just wondering if anyone has ever used accutane before (medication for really bad acne) and had a hard time ttc years later with no explanation for their infertility?
Also, has anyone used this medication before and had no issues getting pregnant?
I am 27 years old and was put on accutane at the age of 15. I took it for 6 months. It cleared up my acne and I didn't really suffer any side effects at the time, except for dry skin. I've done some research online and there seems to be quite a bit of people who have had a hard time ttc years after taking this medication. It doesn't seem there have been any studies done to show infertility as a possible side effect of accutane however, but it seems to me that it is a possible side effect.
My hubby and I have been ttc for 3 months now (I know, not that long) but knowing this makes me sad ... I would've never used this medication.
