Birth Control to bring on ovulation??

Question

My doctor prescribed my the BCP to stimulate ovulation.  I don't ovulate. We've been TTC for about 8 mos. and no luck. Has anyone else ovulated after being given bcp for not ovulating? pregnancy success stories??

My Re told me the same thing but I didn't like the thought of it especially after getting off BC to Ttc for 1.5 years  and nothing happening. I was put on Ortho Tri Cyclen Lo. I probably took it for about two week and found a new re who said totally was disgusted with my old REs decision and to go off of it 9 days before I schedule my tests for progestrone and hsg so I can start all over. I say get a second opinion if you're not comfortable with your docs decision.

She said I take the pill for about a month to reset my cycle then stop cold turkey to stimulate my ovaries.
