When should I take a pregnancy test?

Should I just wait2 weeks after my period? Also... If I am pregnant... I'd like too know asap.. Because im taking meds that can harm the child... Im taking them still until i find out if I am pregnant.... Should I be doing that if not what should I do? Is there a faster way for me too find out? He came in me the 4th of july lol anyway, i was ovulating that day too my next period isnt until 1 week and a half.
