Nicknames!!

Is it wierd to have like, nicknames for eachother?? Me and my boyfriend have nicknames but they aren't like "babe, baby" I call him "D" because his name is Daniel. He calls me by my name. We sometimes call eachother babe and baby. Is it weird though??
