Salicylic acid!?!

Help! I've accidentally been using the neutrogena wave facial cleanser pads and tonight I looked and they contain salicylic acid! I'm 9 weeks pregant....could I have caused harm to my baby? Ughhhh!

I read that if it's less than 2% and doesn't stay on your skin (washes off like a soap) that it's fine because it's not going to absorb into your skin. I still use body wash with salycylic acid in it every once in a while because the acne on my chest and back is out of control. :-(

I just called my OB and asked this exact question. I was told that in pill form it is an absolute no no. If used in a face wash, as long as it's 2% or less and is washed off, then it is ok. If you use a lotion tht has it in it, then you should stop using as lotion sits on the skin and is absorbed where as a fash was is washed off.

​I have terrible skin, so this was a huge deal for me and I did a lot of research figuring out what I could and couldn't use.
