Does anyone have a under active thyroid

I just got bloodwork back and my dr office called to have me come in for a follow up but it's not for a week can anyone who has it explain it to me and how it's treated. I googled it but would like to hear first hand from someone with it.

To you ladies taking meds for this did you notice any chances once you started taking them and if so what and how long did it take to see changes? I just got put on 25mg of levothroxine. I didn't really think I had any symptoms but wondering if I'll see a difference in how I feel once I start the medicine.

I have Hypothroidism. My Doctor has me on Armour Thyroid 60 MG once a day. My symptoms are hair loss, weight gain, irregular cycles, fatigue, moodiness. I hope you get some answers soon.

I have no symptoms of it I just had routine bloodwork done and it came back that. I'm actually fairly skinny and a lot of people I've spoke with think I would have over active if any so I'm not sure.

I have it too. Easiest way to explain is it slows down your body. Usually weight gain and tiredness come with it. Easily treatable. No issues getting pregnant (I have 2). Though there is a little extra testing for baby at birth but nothing to bad. They check their sugar levels to make sure they are able to control on their own.

It's pretty easily treated with synthetic T4 (a thyroid hormone), called synthroid which comes in various generic brands. They'll start you off on a low dose and you'll be tested maybe 6 (cont)
