IUD advice?

I'm fifteen and I'm having sex regularly with my boyfriend of a year and four months. I've tried multiple different BC pills but they all messed with my hormones to much and it made me really angry and depressed. 
​My mom thought it' be a good idea for me to get an IUD so I have an appointment next Saturday to get the ParaGard. I'm really nervous about it. Can anybody tell me some of their experiences with getting an IUD inserted and how it all worked out for them?

I got mirena and so far, so good. Do your research and learn as much as you possibly can before you go in. It hurts to get it put in, but the next few days, you won't even notice it. worth it!

girl I got it after I had my son and after I got it I felt like I was having contractions all over again.  But other than that it's been okay .

I had the copper coil (ie hormone free!) for the same reason for 6 years and it worked wonders. Make sure you have some paracetamol/ibuprofen before you go though as it is uncomfortable having it put in but well worth it!

I had an IUD for  15 years and it was worth every penny, some pain and some bleeding, but shorter and lighter periods, you need to protect yourself bc most guys won't and nor do they care to
