I was engaged at 17, married at 19. Our 15th anniversary is this week :)

It's so easy to get married and so much more difficult to get divorced. Why rush? Wait a few more years to make the decision. If you and your beau are meant to be, there won't be anything wrong with waiting a couple years until you grow up a little bit. I'm not saying you're immature, but 17 years isn't a lot of life lived. You will change. Your lover will change. Give yourselves a chance to get to know each other.

My mom got married at 20 and she's always said that it was too early, even though my parents are still married and very much in love. She never really got the chance to have independence

I was 17 when I got engaged and when I got married! He found the time to talk to each of my parents and let them know how he felt and they both agreed and my mother signed the papers for me to marry him before our son was born.

I'm in a forever relationship with my British gentleman :) he's 23 and I'm 16, so it hasn't been too easy! We both have to make compromises, so I have to grow up a little bit faster and he has to slow down. We plan on getting married when I'm 19/20. Not engaged yet though! If you KNOW you're gonna spend your life with that person, go ahead! Why live life alone when you have the chance to live it with someone you love? :)

I got engaged at 17 and married right when I turned 18. It's about maturity and loving that person unconditionally, not age. Do what you think is right.

I say what's the rush.. If you plan on being together then you have many more years to plan your wedding. I'd wait till at least your mid twenties... Why rush?

I got engaged  when I was 16 we don't plan on getting married any time soon it's more of a long term engagement (before anyone even questions if that's a thing it is) I am now 17 and will be 18 in 2 months.  If you love each other I don't see the problem just give it time before you dive into getting married anytime soon.  Get to know your other half more and more learn more about each other and learn to love each other the way each of you need to be loved.

I believe if you think you are ready, and you think you are ready to spend the rest of your life possibly with the person, then do it. But make sure to put your education first, or wait a few years to actually get married.
