Gender Reveal?!

Opinions ladies.... for your 1st baby did/do you want to know what you were having or want it to be a surprise.  im torn between the two.....

I decided I didn't want to know what I was having until birth. Im a planner and I micromanage everything. I still plan on finishing the nursery, and I'm hoping finding out the gender will be a good motivator to push when time comes

I am dying to know! Reading btw theories and wife tales. It will be my first baby. I want to call him for his name, decorate his room, buy his or her clothes. Of course I will love any gender I just want to get to know her soon!

I agree Jessica! I have to convince my hubby. he wants to know. ur opinion on a baby shower? before or after? my family seems to always do after. I kinda want one before but at the same time after

We are not going to find out the sex. There are so few surprises in life! I am a major planner, but this is one part of life I do not want planned. I have had no trouble stalking up on some neutral clothing for the first few weeks after the baby is born and I know friends/family will help build the wardrobe after he/she is born. I could find out the sex this week but I have made it 19 weeks, I can wait 21 more!

I wanna know so I can plan and decorate but I think the fear of them misreading and telling me one thing and baby being the opposite makes me want it to be a surprise.... so torn

I want to know. I'm very type A and want to be able to plan everything I can. But it's a very, very personal decision and you have to weigh your own pros and cons.

im so worried that they'll mistake and ill plan for the wrong gender.  idk why but im paranoid about it

With my first we weren't able to find out so I had to wait :( but I'm kind of glad now it was worth the wait. The only way for me to find out then (7years ago) was to travel almost 5 hours and pay close to $150 just to find out. Our province just started telling parents the gender at their routine u/s last year

Iam pregnant with baby # 2 right now and I found out with both my pregnancy. For me I think it's better to know because I can plan ahead.

I want to know....just so I can prepare the nursery and get some clothes ready. My mother in law disagrees and says its life's last great surprises. It will still be a surprise....when I find out at my ultrasound :)

​ My poor niece...when she was born she came home in "gender neutral" clothes (which I'm sorry, always look boyish to me!) and all her clothes looked like that til we bought her pink items! She is such a girls girl now and I joke that the reason is because she didn't like her newborn outfits!
