So I got my first sonogram today.

​I heard the heart rate of the baby if it's high it's a girl and if it's lower it's a boy. My babies heart rate was 183.

​What was your babies heart rate on your first sonogram? (Include the gender if known)

I'm 10 weeks and heart my babies heartbeats yesterday. Baby A was 180 and Baby B was 170. Baby A was wriggling around like crazy and got a really cute video while Baby B was just chilling out :) my doctor told me the heart rate theory was just an old wives tale.

My sons heart rate was in the 150 range. And I am pregnant with a little girl now and her range has been around 163-167

My boys were both around 160, they say it's more reliable when you're in labor but it was still wrong for me.

My doctor told me that's just a wives tale. I have heard a lot of boys with high heartbeats. Mine is in the middle so no guessing for me! 12 weeks was 155 and 16 weeks was 145. They say baby could be sleeping and that would make the heart rate slower at the time they do the heart Doppler. Just depends on what baby is doing in there.
