please help???! confused

i got a bfp yesterday at 9dpo on a digital clearblue.... so I rang my surgery this morning and the lady on reception asked how far along I was , im only 1 week and a half .... she said the midwife would contact me between 6 and 8 weeks. ... do I not have to have it confirmed etc?? very confused ... what do I do just sit and wait for her to contact me? I thought there would be more to it than this??????? when is the first scan also???? any help would be very welcomed xx
