How long have I been ttc? Please help

Me and partner actually haven't been using protection since June 2013, so we weren't trying but weren't preventing either. I have been really actually ttc for about 3 or 4 months now and when we decided to finally start properly trying and tracking everything etc I downloaded glow and this is my 4th cycle using glow.. So how long have I been trying to conceive ?

​Would you count every month since June 2013 ? Making it 13 months ttc?

​Or would you say I've really only been ttc properly for 4 cycles?

​I'm just confused and don't know whether I've been trying for 13 months or 4 cycles.. Because we weren't tracking ovulation and stuff up until 4 cycles ago. But we have been religiously trying since march?
