Graves Disease?

Question

I was recently diagnosed with Graves  disease. Anyone else who was diagnosed with this? I cannot TTC for quite a whole with the meds I am on - Methimazole - Hoping these do the truck or I have to go the radioactive iodine pill route. This is all new to me! ?

I was on methamizole but hated it. It tasted like poison and made my food taste like shit. Also, they say it's safe for pregnancy but my endocrinologist said it does cause birth defects in the heart and brain. I ended up opting for surgery because you aren't allowed to get pregnant for like a year if you do the radiation. There was a growth on my thyroid they discovered after the surgery. I'm glad that it's out and I'm finally leveled out on my hormone replacements. I'm TTC right now and I'm worried about my chances but I'm glad my thyroid is gone.
