Clomid?

Dh and I have been ttc for nearly 3 years now. I have very irregular periods, so I waited longer than I probably should have. I made an appointment with the obgyn to discuss my options, mainly clomid, since that's the one I hear most about. I go in on the 28th. I'm so worried he's going to tell me there is nothing he can do...

Does anyone have any experience with clomid, or any other fertility med that you can share with me? Tips, advice?

I've been on clomid for four cycles now.  I was freaked out in the beginning too.  But, it wasn't as bad as I thought or what people have told me!    I have regular periods and it  altered my cycle by a few day, so don't be freaked out when/if our cycles change!

Your doctor will probably want to do some tests to try and determine why your cycles are irregular first.  I had bloodwork and a pelvic ultrasound and was dx with pcos.  Then I did a HSG to make sure my tubes were open and DH did a semen analysis.  After all that was ok we started with clomid.  We are now expecting baby #1.  Good luck.
