I need to ask a question

Hi my boyfriend and I first time to get pregnant with our first baby. The question is sometimes I need to use polyethylene laxative. I read information on the bottle to see if it is save to use to try to get pregnant but all it say is do not know if it will cause harm fetal when administered to a pregnant women. I what to know if anyone know if it is ok to use until I do get pregnant or do I have to stop talking it now. Do you think I should ask my doctor to see if it is save to try to get pregnant.
