Childbirth class?

Hi! I am 10 weeks pregnant with my first baby. Apparently is going to be natural birth. I am quite scared and I would like to take one of those classes where they teach you or prepare you emotionally. Any suggestion? Are they pricy? Btw I live in Michigan. Thks ;)

We are taking the Bradley Class now and are really enjoying it. It's once a week for 12 weeks and cost us $275 (in Tennessee). You can find classes in your area on www.bradleybirth.com if interested!

You should look and see if the hospital you deliver at offers classes and see if they offer a tour to show you delivery rooms and things like places to check and what floor you will be on. When I had my son they only offered breast feeding classes and car seat installment classes.

There are books you can read as well. Bradley method, hypno babies, google some as there are quite a lot. Also realize that no matter how much you plan, on occasion things change the plan. I was DEAD SET on doing everything NATURAL. I didn't even want an IV. I got to the hospital at 1230 in the afternoon and was fully dialated and ready to push at 4pm. Bummer my babies HR dropped so severely we had to have an emergency c section. Everyone survived and she is a healthy ten month old now and we are pg with #2. Plan as best you can and just be flexible "if" something changes. Beat wishes

They were a life saver for me. I tried all natural. Made it to 9cm and couldn't do it anymore. Great for you if you can!
