When to go to 1st doc appt?

I tested pos at home last Sunday & I'm figuring I'm about 5 weeks. I booked an appt w a clinic for next week cuz I want to confirm. Is this too early?

Answer

My OB doesn't like to see women until 10 weeks unless you've had previous complications.  I have had several miscarriages so I go at 7 weeks.

​If you're just wanting a blood test, 5 weeks should be fine, but you won't see much, if anything, even if you get an ultrasound.
