Devestated by false positive

I didn't start my period on Sunday like I always do so I took a CB digital test w weeks predictor on Monday it said + 1-2. We were so excited. On thurs I started bleeding heavily went to ER and my HCG level was 2.4 they told me I was prob never pregnant. We are heartbroken and dont know what to think about the whole thing
