When do I make my first apt?

I just got a faint bfp yesterday, I'm still 5 days away from my missed period. When do I call my doctor to get a blood test, or what is my next step?

I called right away. I was one day before my period. My Dr said no blood was needed as hpts are accurate when it comes to positive results. Congrats!!

I called them after I was 5 days late for my period and they ordered blood test right away.  That came back positive the next day and they scheduled me in for an ultrasound 2 weeks later.  At 7 weeks past LMP I don't think you can really see much, but I really want to get in there.  It was SO hard to get preggers.  I'm still in shock.  We were starting IUI/IVF next month!  Huge shock.  I want a drs apt like yesterday.

I called the midwifery group I wanted to use right after my bfp, my first appointment isn't for another 3 weeks.

The risk of chemical pregnancy is very high for the first 5 or 6 weeks. I won't bother having my prenatal app until well into my 6th week. Good luck!
