Clomid

My doctor decided to have lab work done to see if I was ovulating. Today the nurse called to tell me that my levels were borderline And that he wanted to see me in weeks. Any advice on what boarderline might be or why he is waiting two weeks to discuss possibly putting me on clomid?  Everyone that I know was tested and they either got a script or didn't right away.
