I'm pretty young and I am a child of divorce and it was pretty rough the fighting and yelling I am kind of on the fence about it.

I think it's the BEST thing. I had good examples of marriage so lucky in that respect. Seeing someone behind closed doors shows you the real person. When you're with the right person you can feel free to be yourself and know that they'll love you no matter what. It really is a commitment that goes beyond the engagement ring and party, past the wedding preparations and the wedding day itself. It's a daily commitment to listen, share and love selflessly. If you're both trying to do this then it will work. Youre no longer 2 but 1 a united team with a united purpose and goal. It isn't always easy and it doesn't just happen but it's worth it!  ✨?✨

My parents haven't been together since I was two years old. And I never thought I would get married or have kids because of the chance I could be in the same situation my parents put me in. Honestly as I grew older I realized it's something I wanted marriage, kids my own family and no matter how hard it will be I knew it was the right thing. I was been with my husband for 7 years married for 2 years we have a 6 year old boy and we are exceptin our daughter in January. There are times where our relationship can get hard and kids can cause issues to but at the end of the day it's worth every minute. No relationship is prefect parents are going to fight wether they are divorced or not, it's how the parents handle it and how much they let their kids see is what's important. Good luck in your decisions but don't let marriage pass you up with the right person just because it didn't work with your parents!

I'm a child of divorce too. My grandmother (whom I live with) had two divorces and would get a divorce with her current husband (my grandfather) if he didn't have so many health problems. I personally cannot wait to get married. I've watched over the years and listened to stories on my family's past marriages to see what made them fail and what made others work. With that I've looked for someone who I would not have those problems with. Now I'm with the man that I hope to soon marry (I'm also young turning 18 next month). So my advice would be to learn from your parents mistakes and take the precautions to advoid having those same problems. Best of luck to you :)
