Should I tell ?

So I'm going to tell a little story , me and my boyfriend have been trying for nine months , last month I had gotten a BFP & I was really excited and so was my boyfriend but when I went to confirm it happens to come out negative (AF made it's arrival 3 days after ) . My bf was crushed he cryed the whole day , now today AF is suppose to come down but it usually comes first thing in the morning and it hasn't I don't want to get my bf's hope up . Should I wait a few days or tell him ?
