Baby Shower Dilemma

My husband and I got into a small argument over a baby shower invite. The shower is for his friend's wife who I barely know. Its hard enough going to a family member or friend's shower let alone a stranger. Now I'm going because his argument is "Can't you just be happy for her because they got pregnant?" That cut to my soul. I'm not trying to be difficult but does anyone else get that twinge of resentment when everyone around is pregnant but you?
