Does anybody here has Thyroid problems?

I heard that it's really hard trying to get pregnant when you suffer from thyroid disease :( is this true?

I have a under active thyroid, also pcos.  I was told 2x I'd never get pregnant, ds was conceived after 3 failed rounds of clomid.   For dd I had been charting, had a full exam and was told I was not ovulating. Dr was putting me on bc.  They made me take a pg test 2 wks after my appointment to start bc, I was preggers.  Now, ttc #3 for five years, but just got a clean bill of health ( no cysts on ovaries, thyroid in check). Sorry for my life story, but it IS possible.  You need a dr who will help you!

^^ I have an under active thyroid and pcos as well. Our first pregnancy wasn't planned so I didn't think I had an issue getting prego. Until we tried for our 2nd. Three years later, IVF and icsi and a miscarriage we ended up getting prego naturally. I focused on being healthy and trying (big try) not to stress out. I take 12.5 micrograms of levoxyl and it seems to be ok now. But weight loss is always slow and frustrating... But eating right and exercise always helps.  :)

I have hashimotos (autoimmune thyroid disease) and they suspect celiac as well. I can count the periods I have had naturally without running out of fingers. I was told at 15 my fertility outlook was pretty bleak (before I was even diagnosed with thyroid issues, that wasn't till seven months ago!), but I'm ok with it as one of my #1 goals is to adopt from foster care. 
​That said, fertility can quickly be restored to normal once the thyroid is properly treated. Problems conceiving are common amongst thyroid patients and your attending physician (gyno, endocrinologist, etc) should ideally be used to fielding questions on the topic of fertility. Don't be afraid to ask!
