Who is handling your care for TTC, your gyno/ob or infertility specialist??

I've only been trying for 5 months but my OBGYN said at the year mark he will refer me to a specialist. He said some doctors dabble in fertility but he doesn't because the experts who only deal with fertility daily would be a greater benefit to me. I appreciate that he's able to set his ego aside to ensure that his patients get the help they need.

I'm handling my own! after being told before my last pregnancy I would never conceive with my own eggs and I would have to use donor eggs or adopt, I lost faith in the "specialist"! they never suggested supplements or acupuncture or anything!  thankfully I took matters into my own hands, did some research and got my natural bfp 2 months later!

Obgyn handled ttc #1, this time he referred me to an endocrinologist/fertility doc and they are both working together

High risk OB for my CF and Diabetes and now going to see the infertility dr.

I see my regular obgyn and I see my infertility specialist. Because my obgyn was not taking me seriously at the age 21 trying to conceive. But now that she knows I have seen a specialist she try's harder to find out the problems with me where my fertility specialist only looks at my pcos and now my obgyn had found endo in my abdomen. So it's like a race lol.
