Husband doesn't want to go to 1st ultrasound? Should I be fine with him not wanting to go??

Says that there wont be anything to see at 5 weeks. Should I be be fine with his answer of not going? It bums me that isnt excited to go see whatever he can see. But at the same time I understand. I will be surprised to see anything at all this early.

Tell him that you want him there for support . Not much to see but you can still see your bug a boo for what it is .

To men it is a lot harder for them to understand what us women feel when we are pregnant! For us this magical journey is taking place inside of our bodies. Some men are like caveman and just want to see the baby when it's born to know it was a real human lol! With my first, I wanted my husband to be there for every appointment, and I would get bummed if he wasn't. But with our second and his work schedule I will not be disappointed nor am I even really him inviting to go on the appointments with me lol. 5 weeks is VERY early, there isn't even a heartbeat to hear only a sac. So don't be disappointed. Take him to your 12 week ultrasound he will be amazed to see your little being because it actually looks like a human and youcan see the brain, legs, arms, finger and toes and sometimes they are moving, it is miraculous!!!

I know my BF is nervous about MC, especially given its happens to 2 of his best mates, and the last one was only a few months ago. So he might be worried and not want to go out of fear. All I can suggest is talking to him and telling him you want him to be there.

Ny husband didn't come to my first scan. I was upset at first but he was working and I understand that on the scans when the baby is more visible and active he will be there. He is working for money for me and the baby. I can't ask him for much more. Any other time he has been more than supportive.

Makes sense. I gave him the choice to go or not. I told him if he doesnt go that I wont put it against him. So he didnt. Wasnt a big deal

My husband didn't go to my first ultrasound either. He has a hard time getting off work and said he would rather wait till the baby is bigger. He was so proud to show off the picture I sent him in a text though. I think it is harder for them to get as excited or at least express it sometimes - especially so early.

My partner was working and couldn't get off it was a 5 and a half week scan so didn't really see anything. In that circumstance I understand. But it's his baby too and he should be as excited as you! What's he doing that's more important?[

5 weeks is very early maybe he is concerned that he won't see anything. I was told by doctor to wait after 6 weeks for my scan. I wanted it sooner as my last pregnancy ended in a ruptured ectopic but I had to wait. I had it at 6 weeks 4 days in end and was glad I did as saw baby and heartbeat. Talk too him :-)
