Acronyms and ovulation

I'm new to the fertility community. I am trying for my second child at 29. I was blessed enough to conceive on my first period off of b/c with my son who's now 6. My new husband and I are on our second month after 6 years back on oral contraception and I don't think I'm circulating yet. Is that normal? How long does it take on average? Should I have my hormones checked??

Also can somebody clear up?all the lingo for me? I have NO idea what most of these acronyms stand for and am totally confused reading discussion boards!
