I had sex for the first time at 18, now I know that this isn't as young as 14 is but as long as you were ready I don't believe that having sex is wrong. I personally believe that we as a society put entirely too much weight on the concept of "virginity". I may have had penetrative sex at 18 but I became sexually active at 16. I say do what makes you happy and do it safely. The only problem with being that young would be that you may not have proper knowledge on how to protect yourself but if you educate yourself on having safer sex you are mature enough to be sexually active.

The fact that your asking to me says you weren't ready. Nothing you can do now instead of abstain in the future until you're more prepared. Don't forget the stress of stds and possible pregnancy. You don't need all that now.

I was 14 and absolutely regret it but if it hadn't happened then I probably wouldnt have gotten pregnant 2 years later and had my now 6 year old son. My son is my life and I do not regret him at all! I regret becoming a parent at 16 though. Now at 23 I have 4 kids (one lives in a different state though) and I am divorced from my oldest's dad and happily engaged to my 2 youngest's dad =]

I lost mine at 14 and used to say I didn't regret it but now meeting a great guy I think is the one, I wish I would've saved it for him. I don't suggest it to anyone. At 23 losing it so early I think I'm lucky I never got pregnant young. Most would probably be surprised I lost it young because I didn't party a lot in high school and graduated 2nd in class. I was even raised going to vbs & believing in God(I still do btw) but still went ahead and had sex young regardless of being labeled in high school as "the good girl/a nerd".
