Simple BC pill question.

I just started The birth control pill a few days ago and I got to thinking, my period typically lasts 5 days but there are 7 days of placebo pills, if my period ends before the placebo pills are done do I start a new pack or do I continue taking the placebo until they are gone? Thanks!
