How would I tell my parents I'm sexually active? I'm on birth control for about 2 weeks now and we've been dating for a little less than a year... I was a virgin before this... They wanted to know when I had sex but I'm just... I don't know will they be disappointed? I'm 17 btw

I told my mom at 15. She wasn't happy with it but we talked about how to stay safe and she gave me great advice. we ended up laughing and talking about her hay day before my dad... I'm 27 now and it's still one of the best decisions I have made. I literally just plopped down next to her one morning in her bed and said I have something to tell you... And she guessed lol. They're not stupid it turns out lol. Good luck!

I was 16 (nearly 17)and I had to tell my mom because I thought I was pregnant. However, I had been having sex since 15 (week after 15th birthday) so she was a bit shocked. She said she was disappointed and that she wished I had waited till at least 17 but I was ready at 15. I just wish she had found out a better way.

I just came right out and told my mom. She cried but wasn't upset with me. I was with the guy for about a year and half but I was only 15.. Just be honest. You'll feel better once you get it off your chest. I'm not afraid to ask my mom questions or concerns anymore since she knows now!
