Do you think kids should be required to wear school uniforms?

I'm a huge advocate for uniforms.  
​I think they make back to school shopping so much easier, lower income families don't need to worry so much about their kids having the "lastest" fashions, mornings are easier because you know what to wear, less competition between students...
​
​Kids can still show their personality through their shoes, accessories, etc.
​
​That being said, I plan to homeschool my child so it doesn't really effect my family :)

Instead of stopping bullying we change or hide the things that kids bully other kids about. Its taking away another choice kids have to make. Children already have limited choices in life.

I think so . I thought so when I was in school as we'll . Children should worry about their educations .. Not what they're wearing . It causes to many distractions . It takes to much time out if the day to bust people for dress code, when it could easily be prevented and that time could be spent wisely .

I was required to wear uniforms as a kid and HATED it! Nothing makes my son happier than to wear a shirt with his fav character on it. Dress codes however I'm in favor of, some clothing just does not belong at school.

I live in Australia and we don't have a choice. We all have to wear uniforms. It's really not that bad

Omgggg we LOVED having uniforms at my son's old school!! Why?

1.) SO EASY! Buy a few pairs of pants/shorts/shirts and carry on! The school even had a "swap," so we rarely had to buy new!

2.) BUDGET FRIENDLY! We are on a right budget. Between coupons and the school swap, it was a beautiful thing!

Did we feel that our son was being forced to "conform" or "lose his style" by dressing in uniform? Hell no!

A.) That's what after school and weekends are for- flexin'

B.) There are plenty of professions where adults have to wear a uniform. It isn't uncommon, even when he grows up.
