Thyroid issues

My OB did a thyroid panel on me after my first blood test came back with slightly higher than optimal TSH levels. The panel then came back positive for Thyroid peroxidase antibodies so he asked me to make an appt with an endocrinologist.

He and both my parents and in-laws say it's pretty normal to have these kinds of issues during pregnancy (I'm about 8 weeks) and the endo dr will probably prescribe a low dose thyroid supplement and not to worry. Just curious if anyone else has encountered this.
