Recently I started on Nexplanon, which is the one you insert into your arm for three years at a time, but I've noticed a side effect. I've barely been off my period in the past three months that I've had it. My perio is now three weeks long with either a light or spotting flow. I feel as though I'm bleeding the same amount that I would in a shorter amount of time and I'm physically very healthy despite this changes I haven't noticed any other differences, but having a period all the time is starting to effect how often I am able to have sex. Should I change my birth control even though I love it? Is this an uncommon side effect? I don't know what I should do or if I need to do anything at all.
