Tanya's journey to glow

I've always wanted to be a mother since I was really young. I was 15 when I met my husband and instantly we fell in love ( he was 16 ) I moved in with his family when I was 17/18 and then we planned that we would get married first and move out before starting our family. Even though I didn't want to wait.

In 2012 we had been together 8.5 years when we got married and I couldn't wait so that we could finally start planning our future family. But not till this year 2014 could we afford to buy our house and finally moved in April

Although we said we would wait to start ttc till we moved out we decided that we would start In April 2013 to try and if it happens it happen. Still in April 2014 nothing had happened and I got worried there was something wrong with me and my body. So my husband said let's go to the doctor and ask his advice. And I was so upset that he said that we had to continue trying for at least another year before they would refer us to a specialist. So now we are on month 16!

I was researching apps to help with logging periods and looking for something to be able to help us with our journey and I was so happy to find glow. I didn't even know that u ovulate , u had a fertile period, I

Didn't know anything till I found glow. So that's probably why it has taken us so long? I don't know. I'm so happy I found glow and it's like having a second family.

Thanks for sharing! But I don't understand - why did the dr say you have to wait a whole other year? Seems crazy.

Have you tried a different gp at your practice? I've seen a few since my mc & some are definitely more sympathetic than others. I managed to find one who sent me for blood tests, was preparing myself for an argument but she booked me in straight away. Worth trying to see someone else & argue a bit! Lol! Unless your gps is really small & there's not much choice? Really hope you get somewhere soon! X
