I once heard a guy say that he would eventually ask his girlfriend (of a very long time) to marry him "when she deserves it." Their marriage lasted less than a year and they were not good to each other at ALL. I'd be upfront with your boyfriend - is he serious about being married to you, or is he stringing you along and wasting your time?
