I am about to get the implant, Nexplanon, but am a little worried about it's effects on hypothyroidism. I had the ring, Nuvaring, before and it was miserable. I want something more dependable than the pill because I am not able to be consistent with it due to my schedule. I tried to ask my GYN about the implant, but she didn't know to much about it and refered me to another doctor to have it put in. I would love to hear your experience or what you know about this form of birth control and whether or not it can affect hypothyroidism. Thank you!
