Do you really gain weight from any birth control method u do?

I was on the reclipsen pill and did not gain any weight at all.

I use the Nuvaring and I did gain weight, I also am on medication for my anxiety and for MS (multiple sclerosis) they also can cause weight gain. Everyone is different when it comes to what BC they use and how it will effect them. Just remember a 5-10 Lbs weight gain from BC is better than 35+ from pregnancy.

Yes, but for me I wanted to gain the weight! I know it sounds ridiculous, but having a high metabolism sucks. I weighed 104 at the time. I was on the pill for about 5/6 months and didn't gain any weight then switched to Nexplanon because I hated having to take the pill every day etc. Now that I'm on Nexplanon I've gained about 6 pounds, but I haven't been on it long. The weight aspect of it doesn't bother me at all. Weird right?!

I'm on the pill and I've noticed that I get a lot of water weight right before my period but then goes away. For the most part my weight goes up about 3lbs and then back down to normal. I believe the reason woman gain weight on BC is because of the hormones sometimes it increases your appetite so you have to watch yourself. Other than that it's all water weight

I didn't have any weight gain when I was on the pill for over three years, but once I got off it I gained about five to ten pounds in two months.

I used Depo on and off for years, the last time was 2008-2009. I did gain weight and no matter what I did, I couldn't seem to lose it. :/ The weight finally came off once I stopped using it.
