Abortion?

Question

Have any of you had an abortion and if so what were your experiences? I may be pregnant, I'm going to take a test tomorrow, and due to some circumstances there is a chance my other half won't be around in the new year and I can't raise a child on my own (I'm 20).

Any information/advice would be great, thank you.

It's a simple, quick, and painless procedure. I do not regret mine and I can confidentiality say I would do it again. The planned parenthood staff was very kind, friendly, and helpful. I didn't feel judged or looked down upon for my decision.  It is, however, a very personal decision and a choice that you must come to on your own. There will always be someone ready to try and make you feel guilty or shameful for your decision; I choose not to let those people have that kind of control over me.

I also believe it's very important to consider the context under which the answer of anyone you ask for advice is giving, especially when it comes to strangers on the Internet. You are not likely to receive an unbiased opinion, especially in this context. This app is largely consistent of women seeking assistance in becoming pregnant and as a result are probably going to look unfavorably upon abortion. This has to be a choice that you yourself want, regardless of outside influence. I had an abortion because I do not want children. Period. And I had no desire to carry and birth a child for adoption. Luckily my SO has the same view on the matter and fully supported me in the decision.

At the end of the day it will be your decision. I just found out that I am 8weeks prego and I have decided after talking to my partner and thinking realistically about if we could handle a child right now to get an abortion. I know that my family would give me a hard time about it so I choose to keep them out of my business. If you need to talk message me and you can let it all off your chest. You are not alone!

I was attacked by a gang of men on vacation when I was 18 and it was my 1st time. I returned home and was shocked to find out I was pregnant. I really didn't have a choice and had to abort the poor soul. I regret doing it from time to time because I'm having trouble conceiving but due to the circumstances at that time I believe I did the right thing.....

I had an abortion and it was emotionally hard because I really want to be a mom but I want my children to have s good life. I'm glad I made the decision I did, the baby daddy and I are both married and he has a kid with his wife and I'm ttc with my husband and I think we're much happier with our lives. I was able to go to college and experience my life without children. I think I helped my future children have a better life.

I had one. I think it's up to you no one can tell you what to do in this situation. I still think about it all the time. But I do not regret my descion. But on the other hand just Becuase you are young does and single does not mean you can't be a mother. I know a lot of young single moms who raise thier kids better than most couples, yea it's going to be hard but you can do it.

My experience has been absolutely horrible.  I had an abortion just barely a year ago and I have cried almost every day since.  It was a decision made out of fear of being too young (19) and I will regret it for the rest of my life.  I wish every day that I could see my little baby's face.  I have a humongous hole in my heart that I hope one day will be gone.  I thought I wasn't ready for parenthood but I was way more unprepared for the heartache and loss and regret that I feel every day I breathe.  In the end the decision is yours but I couldn't think of anything that would make me happier than getting a second chance to have my little baby back.  I have so much love for him but I realized it a little too late.  I know now that I was ready and I wish I hadn't been scared.  Babies are a miracle and I wish I had the chance to show mine how much I could've loved him.

If u only think you can't do it because of ur age, if u wanted u could find a way. I have not had an abortion. I had my daughter at 22. However, to each it's own. Just saying that is an option but one of many. Get all the information u can before u choose.
